New mounting trick for deer deterrent power plug
My new preferred method of
mounting a power supply plug to a deer deterrent is to use a small
stretch of plumber's strapping tape to make a bracket like above.
It will be mostly protected
from the elements by being mounted on the underside of the board.
This configuration also
allows for easy unplugging in the event that you have a power failure
and the motor reverses direction. It's been my experience that these
motors will start turning the other way depending on what point in the
revolution it was powered off at. What works for me is to keep
unplugging it and plugging it back up until you reach the spot where
it gives the signal to switch directions.
