Dented deer deterrent
The primary hitting spot
provides a striking point which produces the first noise signature and
helps the golf ball build up a bit of momentum before swinging towards
the secondary clanger.
I've discovered through some
trial and error that a slight half moon shape of a curve is the way to
go for trapping the golf ball in the same spot each time which is
important for the secondary clanging accuracy.
It's also important to allow
for enough height in the primary piece of tin so the golf ball will
have enough surface area to ride for a few seconds.
