Deer deterrent noise

I've experimented with several items to see which one functions as the best clanging material for the noise end of the rotisserie motor deer deterrent.

This stainless steel camping cup is at the top of the list these days for its compact size and unique sound signature.

I used 12 gauge wire to suspend the cup from above. 14 gauge wire was too flimsy and sometimes got shifted during windy days. You could mount it onto a solid piece of wood, but then you wouldn't get that groovy vibration that occurs after each collision.
